Willemse confirmed to do the Jukskei transfer

As reported on this site a month ago, we can confirm that Paul Willemse has definitely signed with the Bulls and will be joining them ahead of the Currie Cup season.

Willemse joins Grant Hattingh and a huge number of Craven Week players the Bulls have contracted.

With so much uncertainty regarding 2013, no-one can be blamed to want to jump this possible sinking ship.

Does anyone know anything regarding Ruan Venter’s recovery. There was lots of hype around him before he got injured.

  • I know unions buy and contract to make their teams stronger, but the Bulls are now really taking this too far. I’m all for strengthening your squads, but when you start contracting as many quality players as the Bulls are, a lot of up and coming talent will be lost sitting on the sidelines and not getting game time.

Players need to play to develop, and this isnot going to happen with lots of these guys moving to the Bulls. They’ll lose form, get injured when at last playing and suffer because of a broken system.

Lion86, Ruan Venter was out for more than a year. Is presently playing for the under 21′s but will take him a few months to get into form. I presume you’re talking of Ruan Botha who played for the senior side. Not sure how long he will be sidelined for.

Agree with you Willa. Economic pressure will force franchises to become more efficient contracting players.
